Athens center have ideal pedestrian down-town. Very inviting for the guided walking tour at the major attractions of the most significant historical city of the western civilization. The central Post Office Syndagma sq. is the start of the tour.
You will first make a short visit at the archaeological displays at the Syndagma Metro Station, and then your guide will take you to the impressive House of Parliament, in front of which you can see the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and admire the Evzones - the presidential guards.

After this you will stroll through the National Gardens to Herod Atticus Road, where you will see the Presidential Residence. Walking down Herod Atticus Road you come to the marble Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.

The walk continues to the beautiful neoclassical Zappeion Hall, in front of which tower the remaining columns of the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. Within a few minutes of leaving Zappeion, you will reach the most famous neighbourhood of Athens - Plaka, the neighbourhood of gods - at the foot of the Acropolis. A walk through this unique district of the city will take you past fascinating monuments including that of Lysicrates.
This  3 hrs tour ends at the Acropolis in front of the Dionysos theatre.

For the ones willing to continue the tour and walk in to the other major attractions and leave the Acropolis top for the end of the full 5hrs-tour, we continue to the Pnyx hill and Socrates prison (pic.stop). The ancient Agora, Kerameikos and Attalus stoa is the next stop and you’ll see the Roman Forum and the Tower of the winds.

Athens

Finally at Plaka and the Metropolis is the end-station. Certainly we’ll try to meet your every need and of course we’ll give you many lunch / dinning and other useful suggestions.
The tour begins at 9:30 in the morning and lasts three or five hours; the meeting point is at the Syntagma Square (Central Post Office, Mitropoleos & Syndagma sq.Look for the sign: “TTG”.).

Note:
Light sport shoes and a bottle of water is highly recommended.
